Cookie Policy

Last updated: January 1, 2025

1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. MMT also uses browser localStorage and IndexedDB to store data locally. This policy covers all client-side storage used by the Service.

2. What We Store and Why

The table below describes each storage item used by MMT.

NameStoragePurposeDurationCategory
mmt-themeCookie/localStorageStores your selected UI theme (dark/light)Persistent until clearedFunctional
mmt-localeCookie/localStorageStores your selected language (en/ru)Persistent until clearedFunctional
mmt-cookie-consentlocalStorageStores your cookie consent decisionPersistent until clearedStrictly Necessary
IndexedDB (Dexie)IndexedDBStores offline watchlist data when unauthenticatedUntil sync or clearedFunctional

3. Third-Party Cookies

We do not use third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. TMDB API calls are made via our backend and do not result in third-party cookies being set in your browser.

4. Strictly Necessary Storage

The cookie consent record (mmt-cookie-consent) is strictly necessary to remember your consent decision. It cannot be disabled.

5. How to Control or Delete Storage

You can clear all browser storage for this site at any time via your browser's developer tools or privacy settings. Clearing theme and locale preferences will reset them to defaults. Clearing IndexedDB will delete any locally stored offline watchlist data that has not been synced.

6. Your Consent

When you first visit MMT, a cookie consent banner is shown. You may Accept or Decline. Functional cookies operate regardless of your consent choice because they are necessary for the Service to function as selected by you. No advertising or tracking storage is used.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. The effective date is shown at the top.
